 Echoes Of The Past
From 1910 to 1935, mountain families brought their corn to be ground into meal at Ed Mabry's gristmill, leaving one-tenth of the portion behind as payment for this service. Since 1950, Mabry Mill has been operated by the National Park Service as a cultural exhibit becoming one of the most popular spots along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
