Description
Learn about Old Salem and the nearly 600 year history of the Moravians.
Nestled between the Appalachian Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean are the gentle rolling hills of North Carolina's peidmont region. And here, within the modern city of Winston-Salem, is the restored Moravian town of Salem. This is rural America of the late 1700's and early 1800's. Old Salem's very existence today is a tribute to the 18th century pioneers who carved it out of the wilderness and the 20th century citizens who rescued it from oblivion. Old Salem: Keeping the Faith is their story of vision, courage, struggle and faith. Through stunning photography, archival footage and engaging experts, this inspiring documentary shows why Old Salem is a historic site for the ages - and for its tens of thousands of visitors each year.
Old Salem: Keeping the Faith was produced by the Emmy award-winning team of Robert C. Van Camp, Rick Amme and Andy Lockett, with music composed by David Combs.
Produced and Filmed by Emmy Award Winner Robert C. Van Camp.
